The German Evangelical Church Confederation is established. Since the Reformation, German Protestantism had been organized by each state’s churches. There was no umbrella organization at that point. [Overesch/Saal, p. 170]
Wassily Kandinsky begins teaching at the Weimar Bauhaus, where he encounters Paul Klee. Kandinsky, who was previously a Commissioner for Russian museums and Director of the Museum of Artistic Culture in Moscow, was sent by Karl Radek to Germany. [Overesch/Saal, p. 170]
