In his speech before the Reichstag, DNVP member Kuno von Westarp declares that the DNVP’s officially declared support for the state is “not equivalent to an inner conviction supporting the form of government or the system of parliamentary party rule.” In saying so, he openly affirms the anti-democratic and anti-parliamentary stance of the DNVP, which has been part of the government since the end of January.
