The Nazi regime imposes a ban on the activities of the SPD, an “enemy of the people and the state”. The SPD is thereby declared an illegal organization and is forced to dissolve itself.

27 June
The DNVP dissolves itself after Hugenberg’s resignation as party chairman. Officially the party was still part of the government. The DNVP members who had not already left and joined the NSDAP are admitted by the NSDAP. The DVP and the German State Party also dissolve themselves at the end of June.
