The “Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service” is enacted. This grants the government extensive powers in employing and dismissing state officials. It allows the government to terminate the service of unwelcome civil servants.

The “Second Law on the “Gleichschaltung” of the Federal States” completes the dissolution of the German Reich’s federal structure. This leads to the appointment of Reich lieutenants in the German federal states who assume executive powers from now on.
