Another grand coalition is formed under Reichskanzler Hermann Müller (SPD). The negotiations held leading up to this prove difficult due to the opposing views of the DVP and the SPD. It is only when Gustav Stresemann intervenes by proposing that the designated Reichsministers settle the issues without including the parliamentary groups that the government members come to an agreement.
