Prince Max von Baden is appointed the Chancellor of a parliamentary government formed with the majority parties (the SPD, the Center Party, the Liberals). Philipp Scheidemann (SPD) and Gustav Bauer (SPD) are state secretaries. The German Empire asks the American President Woodrow Wilson for an armistice.

The Central Powers address a request for armistice to the American President Wilson, stating their willingness to accept the Fourteen Points, his four points of 11 February and his demands of 27 September.

Answering Germany’s request for an armistice for the third time, American President Woodrow Wilson demands that the Emperor be deprived of his power and that Germany be fundamentally democratized.

The German Naval Warfare Command issues the command to attack the British fleet - a completely senseless undertaking that would have led to the destruction of the German fleet.
