Wilhelm Frick is appointed State Minister of the Interior and of Education in the government of Thuringia under Minister-President Erwin Baum (Thuringian Agricultural League). This makes Frick the first NSDAP member to hold a ministerial-level post and Thuringia the first federal state with a member of the NSDAP in its government.
