German Physicist August Karolus successfully transmits an image wirelessly from Berlin to Vienna for the first time. The Vossische Zeitung consequently reports that “a new era in global communications is to be expected”.

In the German-Soviet Neutrality Pact, Germany pledges neutrality in the event of a war between the Soviet Union and a third party. Stresemann regards the “Treaty of Berlin” as a contribution to the consolidation of relations with the West that should not have too much of a negative impact on German-Soviet relations.
