In the Reichstag the DNVP votes in favor of the motion by the SPD to increase unemployment benefits. This leads to a crisis within the bourgeois minority government.

With the support of the bourgeois minority government and the SPD, the unemployment insurance act is adopted by the Reichstag. As a result the government crisis seems to be over. Marx’s cabinet had previously agreed with the SPD to seek consensus with the SPD in certain cases.
